Fiesta Bowl Champs Honored
It was a near sell out crowd that packed the Coliseum. Part of the reason was for the halftime celebration.
The Football team was honored for its great season and it's big win over Oklahoma in the Fiesta Bowl.
New Head Coach Bill Stewart received a resounding round of applause when he was introduced.
Many of the players packed the floor to watch as representatives of the Fiesta Bowl presented WVU with its championship trophy.
The Mountaineers finished the season with an 11.and.2 record. They also finished in the top ten for the third straight year. It truly was something to celebrate.
There were some noticeable absences from tonight's ceremony.
They included players currently training for next month's NFL Combine.
Steve Slaton, Owen Schmitt, Keilen Dykes, Ryan Mundy, Eric Wicks, Johnnie Holmes and Darius Reynaud all failed to attend.
