Slaton Recovering Well

MORGANTOWN -- The pre-season honors already are rolling in for Mountaineer running back Steve Slaton.

In addition to the Heisman hype, Steve Slaton already has been named to the Playboy and Athlon Sports pre-season All-America teams, and the season opener is still more than three months away.

Steve Slaton has been recovering from a January wrist surgery. The soon-to-be junior took part in most drills during spring practice but was kept out of contact situations.

Coach Rich Rodriguez said Steve Slaton still is recovering, but he's getting closer to being ready as training camp gets closer.
